Thesis of The Dark Knight
I thought the film maker did a very nice job keeping the themes of the comics in tact with the themes of the movie. The theme that follows certain characters has changed in the movie, however if the director kept all of those themes and elements, the movie would not be so organized and established.

Thesis of Ridley Scott's interpretation of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep
Ridley Scott wanted to stay true to the novel as much as possible. The book had no limitations on visuals such as setting and different characters. Scott had to take a more main stream approach to the film for it to be financially viable.

My About Me Poster
At my job I have to create an about me poster about every three months, so you would think I could come up with something to say no problem. But no.
My name is Jackie and I'm from Lincoln California. I work for a non-profit organization within an elementary school. When school gets out kids come to my work and we enrich their lives with beautiful knowledge. I'm just kidding, but we do try and provide good enrichment and well rounded curriculum. I really enjoy working with kids. Everyday is something new, and the things you hear them talk about just makes your heart all warm.
I am majoring in Web Design and so far I love it. However, now that I am getting into more advanced classes I am getting a little nervous. There is a lot I don't know; hopefully I can start grasping some of these new concepts and programs!
I am really excited bout this class because I consider myself a pop culture junkie. So getting the opportunity to understand different philosophies behind movies and famous stories is exciting.
Jaws is by far one of my favorite movies. I say "one of my" because frankly it is just too hard to have one favorite movie. I grew up watching Jaws with my dad and even though it is a scary movie, I just get a really nice feeling when watching it. One of my other favorite movies (which I forgot to mention in class) is Little Darlings. I absolutely love everything about this movie. If you haven't heard of it, watch it.
I also love documentaries and behind the scenes type of movies. I recently just watched a Documentary on Netflix called "I Think Were Alone Now." I don't want to ruin what it's about, so just go watch it.
My favorite book is Motley Crue's The Dirt. I know a lot of people say this but I seriously read it front to back within like 3 sittings. Surprisingly, it's that good. Weird right? Motley Crue? If I were to know 4 years ago that that would be my favorite book, I would think I was crazy. All four band members write about their own experiences while all following the same larger story of success, shows, girls and drugs. I found it to be very interesting. Ever since finishing that book I have read Ozzy's book, Keith Richard's book and Heroin Diaries (by Nikki Sixx) The funny thing is, I don't even like that type of music.
